Almost everyone likes dogs.

In fact, some people love their dogs so much they consider them part of the family. I grew up on a farm where the dogs lived outside, and the people lived inside.

But today, dogs not only live in the house with their owners, many sleep in the same bed. Dogs are constantly in the laps of their masters or by their sides; they like being friends, but more importantly, they like being petted.

When you pet your dog, it feels love and a sense of approval, and approval is a feeling every dog seeks to get almost every minute of every day.

Pardon the analogy, but during my selling years, on more than one occasion, I found myself acting like one of those love-able canines....
