I get plenty of sales reps in my sessions who don’t like my messages or agree with what I teach, because they believe my strategies won’t work in their territory.
They tell me their customers won’t do what I teach.
The only thing that attitude tells me is that their customers are not the problem. The real problem is those field sellers are uncomfortable with their own ignorance. They’re uncomfortable with not knowing the answers to their problems and are unwilling to admit it.
As a result, they pretend things are going ok. They’re not just afraid of new ideas, they’re afraid of taking the risks of changing.
